While astroarchaeologists survey the C58 Site and inventory the wreckage, our lead engineer has exciting news.
Using a C58 board marked with SN 01 recovered from the Dynope archive, a main control console can be rebuilt, and united with the C58 on site. Records indicate the original fat board was marked SN 01. Testing consoles used versions of this board to train all the 'nauts.
The engineering team has rallied to rebuild the main control console. When complete, the team will bring this to the C58 Site, connect it, and gain access to many of the systems. There is great speculation about what the mighty vessel will be capable of. Only those who witness it will truly know.
Our engineers and recovery team are working closely together to assure the most effective and least environmentally intrusive means of extraction of the C58. Until then, visitors still seek out The C58 Site. Astroarchaeologists confirm the amateur reports of unexpected messages on the secondary control console, burned into the displays. Early observations suggest that when a main control system is present, more messages may be possible.
Dynope teams will provide updates in this blog. Keep coming back. And keep looking up.
